Odevo U.S. SVPs Katalina Cruz and John Tague
What made you excited to join Odevo?
John: There is a shared thinking about the future, how people supported by technology can drive new services in residential property management. That what makes our culture stand out, it’s not forced or scripted. It’s just natural. That authenticity is rare in this industry. I’ve worked with some of the largest property management firms in the U.S., and this is the first time I’ve experienced a culture that’s truly lived by everyone, every day.
What is it like to be part of the group?
Katalina: For me, it was clear from the start that Odevo values both the strength of a local identity and group collaboration. The fact that we maintain our local champions and culture while gaining access to resources and expertise across the group makes a powerful balance. There is real trust that people across the organisation can make decisions.
How does those resources help opcos?
John: We can add technical capabilities, and you also get access to initiatives such as our value-added service and vendor partnership network through Odevo partners like Water Restoration Group and Sharpe Project Developments. Getting the support needed to take on larger projects or to expand into new parts of the country. In the end, this means our clients get access to a range of new services.
How would you describe the work you’re doing across Odevo U.S?
Katalina: We are here to support the operating companies and help drive new services in insurance, procurement, or operations, and give clients easy access to these services. It’s about translating Odevo’s overall strategy into practical, local action. Flexibility is key to how we grow together. We zoom in where we can support the teams and help them find solutions or inspiration from each other.
How is Odevo seen in the U.S. when it comes to service innovation and technology?
John: We’re constantly building on our tech-enabled service offering here in the U.S. The foundation we’re laying now, combining smart tools with real operational know-how, is what will define the next phase of Odevo U.S., helping us to keep track of all assets in large developments.
What do you see as Odevo’s biggest opportunity as the company expands?
Katalina: The breadth of experience we have is incredible. We manage everything from small communities to large, complex associations. That range means we’re prepared for almost anything, and it also makes us a great partner for companies joining. The opportunity now is to build even stronger bridges between all the local teams, across markets and countries. That kind of collaboration on technology and services, having a global reach while staying grounded in people, is what will really set us apart.
