Antonio Baldellou, CEO at inmho Spain and COO of Portik Group
Why did you decide to join Odevo?
In our first meeting, we spent six out of eight hours talking about people, teams, and culture, which told me how important people were for everyone in the room. And also, how we shared the same vision. My goal was to understand the culture and see if we were aligned in how we talk about people, legacy, and customer relationships. We truly were.
inmho has quickly become a market leader in Spain. How did you manage that?
There’s no magic formula, but I would say it’s 99 percent about people. We’ve managed to attract the best professionals in our field, not just talented people, but good people who share the same values. Once you have that, success follows naturally. We keep the entrepreneurial spirit alive, giving everyone space to grow and take ownership. I’m especially proud of our internal promotions, more than 40 last year alone. It creates incredible energy within the company.
How would you describe the culture at inmho?
We’re a very open and close-knit company. There’s no hierarchy, ideas matter more than titles. When I go to our headquarters, my office is often full of people just using it for meetings, and I love that. It shows how we work: together, freely, and without barriers. Even as we grow, we still behave like an entrepreneurial company, and that’s powerful. People feel trusted, supported, and unafraid to try, even to fail, because they know the team has their back.
Technology is a key part of Odevo’s growth. How does it support your teams and customers?
Technology is essential for what we want to achieve. When we started, people said it would be impossible to manage this scale of property management, but technology changed everything. For me, the first priority is how technology supports our people. Their job is demanding, dealing with hundreds of customers and issues daily. The right tools help them work faster, manage documentation, and serve customers better.
I always say: if you ask me what comes first, customers or employees, in terms of technology, I’ll always answer employees first. Take care of the employees, and they will handle the customers.
What do you see as the biggest opportunities ahead for inmho and Odevo?
We’re already market leader, but with less than 2 percent market share, so there’s a long way to go. My personal focus is on legacy, building something that lasts, where people can grow and have meaningful careers. I want to create a culture that future generations will be proud to be part of. From a business perspective, our goal now is to not just be the biggest, but to be the best, the first choice for customers. To me, that’s the true measure of success.
